Under 400cals including the EVOO it was cooked in Under 400cals including the EVOO it was cooked in 😋 I’m making braised pork belly tonight to feed my Okinawan side. See that over on my @thestrugglinghafu page 😉 Chicken, potatoes & green beans: 43p/33c/9f 390cals 6oz chicken (weighed raw) 148g potatoes 100g green beans Heat 1t of EVOO in the cast iron. I like soft potatoes. I can’t standby when they’re crunchy. I microwaved them in a bowl of water for about 3 minutes. While the potatoes were in the microwave, I sprinkled the chicken with seasonings. I used smoked paprika, seasoning salt, pepper, onion & garlic powder. Placed them in the heated oil and covered. Flipped every couple minutes. Put a couple cups of water in a pan and added the green breads. Let it boil til they were soft. When the chicken was done, I added the potatoes. Added some 0cal spray butter, pepper & seasoning salt. Cooked til all sides were browned. Empty the water the green beans were in and return to stove. Reduce heat to lo. Add any seasonings. I just did salt & pepper. Our employers gives us 30 min each day of PAID time to get some exercise in. I have a treadmill and an elliptical. Cave Springs loop today. About 30 miles south of S Cave Springs loop today. About 30 miles south of Salem. It’s a fairly easy hike. Less than 5 miles. No major uphills. Path is well maintained, without debris or lots of loose rocks. A couple gorgeous scenic areas. Devils Well. And this beautiful cave. There’s also a great little area to swim if it were hot enough. But instead, it was 36*F when we got back in the car around 4. I could see my breath.....not my kind of hiking 😂 Layered up...a lot.... I’m quite shocked that my knees and back held up during the workout and this morning. I honestly expected to be in a lot of pain considering my back goes out when I accidentally take a long stride or walk too fast of a pace. Who else is working out at home these days? I was Who else is working out at home these days? I was a huge gym rat. It was my happy place! Then 13 years ago, I moved to a tiny town. There was not a gym in our town. I’d have to go to the town over, which wasn’t a big deal, but I couldn’t justify the time away from the family and the price of the membership. Later, we moved out of city limits, and soon after, the town finally got a small gym 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 I actually really enjoy working out at home. I save anywhere from 20-40 min of drive time. I can workout in my jammies. I can split my workouts into different blocks of time if needed, that way I can take care of priorities (kids are home for school, working from home, household chores, etc). I even hosted boot camp classes and virtual workouts here because the price to rent any space is 2-3 times more than i make teaching classes 😂 Your home gym area doesn’t have to be glamorous like the pictures we see from tons of influencers. It just has to be functional. 98% of our equipment was free, from Goodwill, or from the Caring Center (like a Salvation Army). My must haves: Dumbbells 5-20lbs Resistance bands A big ole tire (we were actually given multiple sizes of tires, but this ones my favorite) An exercise ball Between all of those, you can mimic almost all the machines/equipment at the gym! I can never make pasta look decent 🤷🏻‍♀️ but you get the idea 🙃 I really had to start putting some effort into meal prepping because making lunch during my work from home hours was taking entirely too much time. So I stopped eating til much later in the day or else I’d grab something out and about and it was usually not even remotely healthy. Italian Turkey Meatballs with a homemade sauce on top a bed of regular spaghetti noodles & zoodles I absolutely love noodles and I will never give up my pasta completely 😂 so I used half a serving of noodles and added zucchini noodles to make up for the rest. Been on 40mg/day each month so far Who else is taking this and has a “Must Always Be With Me” kind of stash? 💊Tylenol for the achey joints 👄 All sorts of chapsticks because certain masks, outdoor/indoor temps, activities, etc calls for a certain type (and this isn’t including the one at my desk, bedside, bathroom, car, and the one next to my couch). 🧖🏼‍♀️ Moisturizer for the dry spots (mines not flaking, just super dry sporadically & noticeable) 👃🏼Triple Antibiotic Ointment for my extremely dry nostrils 👁 Lubricant eye drops for the lovely dry eyes What I’ve tried in the past: 👉🏼 Cureology - their formula for me included medicine I was already on prescribed to me by the Derm. Saw 0 changes 👉🏼 Proactive - 0 help 👉🏼 Prescription Oral Antibiotics - over the course of 10 years, I was routinely on one of the following: Doxycycline, Amoxicillin, Clindamycin, and others - results the first few months of each were great, but I always stalled & was left with 10-15ish pimples regularly, which was always better than what it would’ve been without 👉🏼 Prescription Topical Antibiotics - clindamycin - noticed 0 changes 👉🏼 Prescription Spironolactone - started at 50mg and world up to 100mg over about a year with minimal improvement 👉🏼 Trentinoin Cream 0.1% - lots of dry, flaking skin, but no change otherwise 👉🏼 every Benzyl Peroxide wash, cream, gel, or wipe And I know there’s a ton of other OTC products 🤷🏻‍♀️ What do you carry around in your stash?
